Switching to Addeum without the chaos
Migrations fail when vendors sell a weekend cutover. We plan for a church calendar: people first, Sunday next, stewardship when your treasurer is ready.
What we typically migrate
- People and households (CSV / structured export)
- Groups, tags, and basic pastoral context
- Volunteer roles and schedules (as you turn modules on)
- Giving history and funds you need for statements
Phased rollout
- Week 0–1: Export, map fields, clean duplicates you already know about
- Week 1–2: Soft launch for staff; parallel run for one Sunday workflow
- Week 2–4: Volunteer training by role; retire the old login for that workflow
- Later: Giving, app, and AI features when the spine is stable
Training posture
Short, role-based sessions beat a three-hour “everything” webinar. Ushers learn check-in. Admins learn records. Pastors learn care and follow-up. Nobody needs every screen on day one.
What we won’t promise
- Zero friction — every migration has a messy export
- Custom one-off scripts for every legacy vendor without scoping
- That AI will replace your pastoral judgment during cutover
FAQ
Do you migrate everything overnight?
No. We recommend a phased rollout: people/records first, then Sunday ops, then giving and communication — timed around your church calendar.
Can we import from CSV / spreadsheets?
Yes. Most churches start with CSV exports from their current system. We map fields carefully and validate before go-live — messy data stays messy until you clean it; we help you see it.
How long does training take?
Volunteers usually need a short role-based walkthrough (check-in, groups, giving). Admins get a deeper setup session. Exact hours depend on which modules you turn on first.
What about historical giving and attendance?
Bring what you need for continuity and compliance. We’ll help prioritize what must move day one versus what can archive.
